Basically, it is a dance party for toddlers! OK, well not just toddlers, I saw little tiny babies as well as older kids too. They have a DJ and a lot of fun stuff to dance with- egg shakers (plastic eggs filled with beans or something), scarves, and tambourines. My son had a blast! I wasn't too sure about it, I didn't really think there would be a lot of people there but it had a pretty good turnout. We spent most of our time on the dance floor but we also spent a lot of time in the "Chill Out" zone. The chill out zone is exactly what it sounds like- a place to rest and chill out. There are tons of pillows and tents, puzzles, stuffed animals, and books galore! Every table was set up with crayons and coloring books too. There were tons of giveaways all throughout the party, and there was a goody bag at the door (@ Sept.'s party). Oh, annnnd they have a face painter! Who is free! But I did give him a little tip since he was working so hard and his line was a mile long! The price is a little high for my taste. It is $12 for each person- unless they are babies and can't walk yet. But I have to say it was worth it. There is also a bar fullll of snacks and goodies- crackers and cheese, popcorn, pretzels, goldfish, strawberries, grapes, apples, cookies, juice boxes, and more that I can't recall. So I didn't mind paying the $12 because there was an endless supply of food and I figure it's only once a month so I can do that.
Anyways, like I said, my son had a ton of fun and it was fun for me too! The little kids are all so cute shakin' their groove thangs. I met a few cool people too. They have a website that you can check out to learn more about Baby Loves Disco. You can also buy tickets ahead of time there. The website is babylovesdisco.com. The next party is February 14th and we will surely be there!!
I am posting some pictures in an album, check them out!
