Well, that's it... Another Christmas come and gone... The house is covered in toys, the kids are all jacked up on candies and pies... Daddys sleeping, and here I am, blogging...
I just can't ever figure out how I look forward to Christmas all year long, and then, that night I feel so deflated... Like I've built up in my mind what a wonderful day it should be, and then when it's over, I'm bummed...
Don't get me wrong, today was wonderful... The kids came running in this morning, (at 1:00am) and then at 7:00am and they were so excited... I loved hearing the excitement in their voices... We all ran to the living room and tore open every present we had...
The living room floor was completley covered, and there were toys spread from here to there... I had race car tracks, and dinosaurs and Transformers everywhere... The kids were running around yelling at each other over the new Walkie Talkies, and Dustin was singing songs through a really cool voice changer...
Kaylynn though... Not her... She's getting way too old for all that baby stuff... She got a new MP3 player and a phone for her room... She got shoes and shirts and a couple really cute sweatshirts... And she loved it all...
Then we went to mom's house... And the presents kept coming...
Then, the food... Oh there was so much food... I ate so much, my stomach was actually hurting... And tons of leftovers... We could have fed a small country with our leftovers alone... Ok, so maybe I exagerate...
And now, we're home... And that's it... It's over and won't be back for another year... I know, I know... I guess that gives me something wonderful to look forward to...
And I still have all those leftovers... I think I will enjoy those for a couple more days... Yummmy...
Well, I guess it's time for me to start picking up all those toys off my living room floor... I think I might like to walk through there again... Someday...
