thanksgiving

woke up and moms was already in the kitchen cookin up that good ish.  deep fried turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, home made mac n cheese, chunky rolls, and a few vegetable dishes. on my way to take a shower my boss calls me... "can you come in an hour early"... damn! "yea i can do that". tell moms i cant stay for long. every holiday i make these chocolate cream pies.. this year was no exception, start on that as soon as im done getting dressed. 12pm we start to grub... watchin kiesha cole's show on BET.  get to work and all my guys (work @ a retirement home with 23 male residents) wish me a happy thanksgiving. so cute. some of em are lil perverts like the ole dude in breaking all the rules. didnt have to do mcuh but help serve up their dinner, do a lil cleaning, and kick back and read my book (a piece of cake by cupcake brown). started work @ 1:15 and got off around 10:30sih. before i left they tell me im working a double on christmas 2:30pm-6am. not trippin cuz its cool paper... that good ole holiday and over time pay ay ay ya digg! strolled in the house at exactly 12am & hit the recliner. damn it feels good to be home. took my shoes off, that felt even better. never got to try my pie earlier (lol that sounds weird) so i go grab a piece... a fat ass piece. watchin john and kate plus 8 on TLC... yea i have my square ass line up for TV and what? finish the pie in tminus 45seconds, put my dish away, and log onto the space. nothing too strenuous or to eventful...  just a nice smooth thanksgiving. alot of time for reflection and im truly thankful today. for my life my job my family and friends, my country in which MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK OBAMA '08, and for the realization that time is of the essence and my determination to make the very most of it.
